Live Sound International and ProSoundWeb are teaming up with USITT to present the latest loudspeaker demo, this time featuring up to eight larger and eight smaller systems from leading manufacturers.

The event will be a key component of the upcoming 2018 USITT Expo in March at The Greater Ft. Lauderdale-Broward County Convention Center.

Top theater sound designers, consultants, production personnel and architects — many that work in Vegas, on Broadway, cruise ships and universities — will be in attendance to experience the loudspeaker demo, along with representatives of sound companies, AV integrators and houses of worship.

Details

There will be a kick-off demo session the evening of March 14 as well as three (3) demo sessions on both March 15 and 16. In addition, every manufacturer will have a 20-minute individual session to present their systems to attendees.

The event site is a controlled outdoor listening environment, with protection from the elements (i.e., rain), that’s adjacent to the main entrance of the convention center. 

How It Works

During full demo sessions, four tracks will be played through every smaller system in a round-robin format, followed by the same process with the larger systems. Attendees are provided with an ample space to evaluate what they’re hearing as well as observe each system’s scale, rigging and other details.
